The second Transnational Partner Meeting of the StoryCode project was recently held in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. During the meeting, research progress and the project’s next steps for the coming year were discussed. Partners contributed numerous ideas on new educational methods and innovative tools implemented by the project. It was an opportunity to resume teamwork and network for the future. The next meeting will take place in 2025 in Madrid.

StoryCode, co-funded by the European Union, aims to introduce new digital languages, computational thinking, and storytelling-based programming skills into schools within the STEAM paradigm.

Wednesday, August 28th
Participants’ arrival is scheduled for this date to ensure a timely start to the meeting.

Thursday, August 29th

  • 9:30 AM: Arrival of partners at Blokhuispoort building.
  • 9:40 AM: Welcome by Frank Hiddink from Learning Hub Friesland.
  • 9:45 AM: Start of the project meeting:
    • State of the art - STORYCODE Teacher Training Course Delivery: Reports from Italy (Computer Learning), Spain (Universidad Europea Madrid - Fundación Educativa Francisco Coll), Lithuania (Kauno Simono Daukanto progimnazija), and the Netherlands (Learning Hub Friesland).
    • Discussion: Evaluation and results with all partners.
    • Future Plans: Exploring the potential for publishing the online training course on the European School Education Platform - European Union.
  • 11:15 AM: 15-minute break.
  • 11:30 AM: Resumption of the morning session:
    • Activity: Crack the Code – Blokhuispoort challenge.
  • 12:30 PM: Lunch break.
  • 2:00 PM: Afternoon session begins:
    • Research & Experimentation in Schools:
      • Presentation of the plan by Universidad Europea Madrid-STRIPES Onlus.
      • Detailed discussion on implementation, including privacy consent collection and scheduling.
    • Related Topics: Open discussion on any other related issues.
  • 3:30 PM: 15-minute break.
  • 3:45 PM: Afternoon excursion.
  • 5:00 PM: End of the afternoon session.
  • 7:30 PM: Evening dinner.

Friday, August 30th

  • 9:30 AM: Arrival of partners at Blokhuispoort building.
  • 9:35 AM: Continuation of the project meeting:
    • Planning of Upcoming Activities: Focused on dissemination events, led by Mara Rinne/Federico Albiero (Computer Learning) with the participation of all partners.
  • 11:00 AM: 15-minute break.
  • 11:15 AM: Continuation of the morning session:
    • Certificate Distribution: Handing out certificates of attendance.
  • 1:00 PM: End of the official program.

Saturday, August 31st
Closure and participants' departure.
